Anti-illegal drugs effort by the elements of Parañaque City Police resulted to the seizure of more than 300k worth of suspected illegal drugs along Tramo St., Brgy Daniel Fajardo, Las Piñas City at about 7:10 PM this 21st day of May, 2020.
Initial investigation disclosed that personnel of Follow-up Section and Station Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation following reports of illegal drug trade proliferating in the area.
During the operation, one of the police officers acted as a poseur buyer and after he was able to complete the transaction, he gave the signal for the arrest of the suspect who was later identified as Jonas Tiongkiao y Mateo, 51 years old, married, jobless residing at 881 Tramo St., Brgy., Daniel Fajardo Las Pinas City.
Recovered from him were three (3) pcs heat sealed transparent plastic sachet with white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu and One (1) piece Php 500.00 bill marked money with serial number KC862064, recovered evidence weighing 52.5 grams and with total estimated street value of Php. 357,000.00.
The veracity of the operation was witnessed by MARIO JOSE A CAO, Media Representative and Barangay Kagawad Melvin Cristobal of Barangay Daniel Fajardo, Las Piñas City.
The recovered suspected shabu was brought to the PNP Crime laboratory for confirmatory chemical testing while the suspect was brought to the police station to face charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165.
NCRPO Chief. PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS hailed the effort of his men in their campaign against illegal drugs.
“This is a continuing effort. We shall not cease in our campaign to free the Metro against all forms of criminality and illegal drugs. I am elated that my men exerts invigorated effort towards the attainment of this advocacy,” PMGEN SINAS said.
