Elements of the Quezon City Police District busted more than 30k worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation held at about 2:40pm of April 23, 2020.
The operation stemmed from an information received via text message from a concerned citizen to DD, QCPD regarding illegal drug activities allegedly going on along 163 G. Araneta Sitio Mendez, Barangay Baesa, Quezon City.
After due monitoring and surveilance, SDEU personnel of PS-3, led by PCPT MA SENALICE B NATO, plotted a Drug “Buy-Bust” operation which resulted in the arrest of the suspects who were later identified as:
a.Rene Nielsen, 47 years old, divorced, retired mechanic, a Danish national and a native of Vamdrup Denmark and a resident of 163 G. Araneta, Sitio Mendez, Brgy. Baesa Quezon City; and
b. Rachelle Ayap y Pastolero, of legal age and a resident of 163 G. Araneta Street Brgy. Baesa, Quezon City (AT LARGE).
Recovered for the suspect are the following items:
a) fourteen (14) pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be Shabu, weighing more or less five (5) grams with estimated street value Php 34,000 a dangerous drug marked as (written on a masking tape with signature);
b) One (1) piece genuine Two hundred peso bill with serial no. V078464 with secret initial “JCR” inside the logo of BSP;
c) One (1) unit OPPO Touchscreen phone(color green);
d) One (1) piece wallet/pouch (color floral blue);
E) Two (2) pieces lighter (color light blue and green);
F) one (1) piece roled aluminum foil; and
G) ONE (1) pc. Strip aluminum foil containing suspected shabu residue
The operating team alleged that the poseur buyer, was able to transact and buy “SHABU” worth Two Hundred pesos (Php 200) from the target of operation. After the completion of the drug trade, the same Officer gave the pre-arranged signal to the other operatives waiting nearby, to arrest one of the suspects, Rene Nielsen. However, suspect Rachelle was able to elude arrest.
The suspect was brought to the police station to face charges for violation of RA 9165 while the pieces of evidence gathered were forwarded to the crime laboratory for confirmatory testing.
NCRPO CHIEF PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS reiterated his plea to the public to refrain from committing unlawful acts, further guaranteeing them that the anti-illegal drugs effort of Metro cops is not diminished by their task as frontliners in the ECQ.
“We will not lax our anti-illegal drugs effort despite the stringent call of duty as frontliners in the ECQ. Hence, I would like to plead for cooperation from our people to obey the law to alleviate the burden among our people in the frontlines. Now more than ever, we need everyone’s cooperation and support,” said PMGEN SINAS.
