Muntinlupa Intensifies Illegal-Gambling Operations, Confiscates Machines And Arrests Players

In line with the anti-criminality campaign of the National Capital Region Police Office, the Regional Director, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commended the Southern Police District-Muntinlupa City Police Station (SPD-MCPS) for another job well done that resulted to the confiscation of one (1) video karera machine, one (1) One set Fruit Game Machine and arrest two (2) violators on August 10, 2020 at about 10:50 in the evening.

Initial investigation disclosed that the operatives of SPD-MCPS were conducting Anti-Criminality Operation when they received an information from a concerned citizen regarding an on-going video illegal gambling particularly video karera and fruit game at Bautista Compound, Brgy. Alabang Muntinlupa City.

Police operatives immediately proceeded to the above-mentioned location and upon arrival thereat, they caught in the act two male suspects playing the gambling machines. The police operatives immediately arrested the suspects identified as: Jude Turla y Gorgonia, 35 y/o, male, single, Line Associate and Mark Anthony Oliveros y Peruda, 37 y/o, male, single, Security Guard.

Suspects together with the recovered evidence were brought to Muntinlupa City Police Station Criminal Investigation Unit for proper documentation and disposition.

Cases for Violation of R.A. 11332, Violation of City Ordinance No. 2020-113 (Curfew) and Violation of P.D. 1602 Illegal Gambling (Video Karera and Fruit Game) are being prepared against the arrested suspects for filing before the Muntinlupa City Prosecutors’ Office.

Further investigation as to who is the owner of the illegal gambling machines is on-going.

PMGEN SINAS emphasized Team NCRPO is doing its best to get rid of these illegal activities in order to maintain peace and order all over the Metro.

PMGEN SINAS also expressed his gratitude and salute to all concerned citizens who are helping the police in fulfilling their mandate. “Team NCRPO’s success primarily rests upon on the collaboration of the community and the police,” he added.
