Navotas Nabs Two Drug Suspects, Seized 149k Worth Of Shabu

National Capital Region Police Office Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS complimented the operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Navotas City Police Station for the successive arrest of drug suspects on their operations against illegal drugs. This resulted to the arrest of two (2) drug suspects on August 10, 2020.

Suspects were identified as: Edemson Villanueva y Pascual also known as “FORD”, 42 years old, male, single, jobless, and resident of No. 7, A. Cruz St., Brgy. Tangos North, Navotas City; and Lamberto Linaban IV y Ramos also known as “BO”, 44 years old, male, married, jobless, and resident of No. 21, M. Domingo St., Brgy. Tangos North, Navotas City.

Investigation disclosed that after verification on the facts of the information they received from a confidential informant and coordination with the agents of PDEA, they immediately plotted a buy-bust operation.

Further, on August 10, 2020 at about 12:25AM operatives proceeded at M. Domingo St., Barangay Tangos North, Navotas City. Upon completion of the transaction, police poseur-buyer signalled the arrest of the suspects.

Pieces of evidence confiscated from the suspects are:

1) One (1) piece of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet

containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu”;

2) Eleven (11) pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets

containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu”;

3) One (1) piece small black pouch bag;

4) Three (3) pieces of one hundred peso bills used as buy-bust money

with serial numbers BC652076, C675360, and X235968 respectively; and,

4) One (1) piece Five hundred peso bills recovered money.

Seized suspected to be “Shabu” with estimated weight of more or less 22 grams with DDB value amounting to PHP 149,600 will be turned over to  PNP-NPD CLO, for quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Moreover, during the arrest, suspects were informed of their Constitutional Rights in a language they understood. The markings, inventory and phtotograph of confiscated evidence was conducted at the place of arrest and was witnessed by: Barangay Kagawad Orlando Duque Jr and Mr. Ismael “Ka Maeng” Santos, a representative from the media.

Meanwhile, suspects are now detained at the custodial facility of Navotas City Police Station pending the filing of charges in Violation of Sections 5 (Selling of dangerous drugs) and 11 (Possession of dangerous drugs) under Article II, R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 pending the presentation to the City Prosecutors Office for the inquest proceedings.
