Operation stemmed from an information received from a confidential informant that an alleged police officer is frequently visiting room B of the said apartment to peddle illegal drugs. Operatives then conducted casing and surveillance against the alleged policeman. They were able to secure an actual footage of Rafael while sniffing illegal drugs (shabu) hence, the buy bust operation was hatched.

Upon apprehension, operatives yielded a total of 15 grams of shabu with street value of Php 102,000.00.

Investigation revealed that Rafael was recruited in Special Action Force in 1995. He went on absent without official leave during his Commando training. He was then reinstated in police service in 2002 and was charged for an administrative case which latter caused his suspension. Moreover, he was assigned at Caloocan before his assignment in DAHU, MPD.

Cases for violation of Section 5, 11, 12, 14 and 15, Article ll of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act Of 2002) will be filed against the suspect.

The suspect was brought to RDEU office for documentation and proper disposition. The recovered pieces of evidence were brought to the PNP Crime Laboratory for Drug Test and Qualitative and Quantitative examination.
