NCRPO Celebrates 29th PNP Foundation Anniversary

NCRPO celebrated the 29th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine National Police during the Monday Flag Raising ceremony with no other than the Chief, PNP PGEN ARCHIE FRANCISCO F GAMBOA as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. NCRPO Regional Director PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS warmly welcomed him through an Arrival Honor ceremony in front of NCRPO Grandstand, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig, City this 10th day of February, 2020.

The celebration was done in commemoration of the 29th year since the Integrated National Police was subsumed into the Philippine Constabulary to form the Philippine National Police by virtue of RA 6975 as amended. This was highlighted by the performance of NCRPO’s Best consisting of the NCRPO Marching Band, SPD Cultural Dance Troop and NCRTC Female Squad Silent Drill Presentation.

PNP Chief PGEN ARCHIE FRANCISCO F GAMBOA in his speech, said that his visit signifies his intention to bring the National Headquarters closer to the Regional Headquarters.

Thereafter, he graced the oath-taking ceremony of the 310 newly appointed patrolman/patrolwoman composed of 285 males and 25 female recruits. “You are very lucky, your oath-of-office was officiated by the Chief, PNP.” he said in a jesting tone.

The recruits will undergo 6 months of rigid academics and physical training before they will be sent to another 6 months of Field Training Program where they will be deployed to different police stations to personally observe and learn actual investigative, traffic and patrol duties.

Thereafter, PGEN GAMBOA officiated the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Construction of NCRPO Multipurpose Center, SPD Crime Laboratory Building and NCRPO Close Quarter Battle Building at the Special Action Force Open-Ground, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.

The various DPWH convergence Fund Projects for NCRPO includes the construction of Multi-purpose Center amounting to 230M pesos, Grandstand and Site Development amounting to 200M pesos and Close-quarter Battle Simulation Building amounting to 23M for NCRPO; projects amounting to 90M pesos for Manila Police District; rehabilitation of Pasig Police Station amounting to 5M pesos; projects amounting to more than 204M for Quezon City Police District and consruction of Southern Police District Crime Laboratory amounting to 23M pesos.

This is in line with the Build! Build! Build! program of the current administration which endeavors to usher the “Golden Age of Infrastructure”. Ultimately, the structures aim to boost NCRPO’s operational capabilities not just for the betterment of the police service that it provides for the Metro but also to uplift the morale and welfare of its personnel.

Meanwhile, the Chief, Philippine National Police presided the Closing Ceremony of PSFTP Class 2019-01 and Graduation Ceremony of PSBRC Class 2019-02. The event marks the beginning of the new breed of NCRPO police officers ready to serve Metro Manila.

“While shooting for PNP’s ‘Kakampi mo’ campaign, I experienced how hard it is to become somewhat an actor. Then, I came to realize that becoming a police officer is incomparably harder because there’s no second takes”. He added.

PNP Chief PGEN ARCHIE FRANCISCO F GAMBOA motivated his men to focus in the PNP mandate and to internalize and deliver it with integrity to achive outstanding result.

Finally, The Chief, PNP concluded his visit in a command conference held in Lakeshore Hall C-6 Lower Bicutan, Taguig City which was attended by the National Headquarters Directorial Staff and officers from NCRPO.
