NCRPO Geared Up for Battle Against 2019-nCoV

PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS blazed the trail to aid in the battle against the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) which sets the deadliest day for China and is spreading rapidly in several countries across Europe, North America and the Asia Pacific.

In the Philippines, there are two cases confirmed by DOH one of whom died of severe pneumonia due to viral and bacterial infection.

Despite the fact that there is no report of community spread at present, NCRPO toed the line to join the fight against the deadly disease.

“NCRPO joins in the fight against this deadly disease which altered the normal course of living of our fellowmen especially the people of Metro Manila” said PMGEN SINAS.

NCRPO started its campaign against the spread of the disease among its men and inside the police camp. As a preventive measure, operational guidelines on Coronavirus was published, guidelines on workplace prevention and control was issued, 2019-n-CoV Action Plan was plotted and implemented and an Infection Monitoring Checklist was adopted and NCRPO n-CoV info desk was established to identify personnel who are suspected to be infected and immediately institute reactionary measures.

“We encourage the citizens of Metro Manila to remain calm but vigilant. Guaranteed that NCRPO and other agencies concerned are doing their best to address this situation. Please take notice of NCRPO Regional Health Service (RHS) in coordination with Regional Community Affairs and Development Division’s Friendly Health Reminders/Health Advisory on Coronavirus to keep yourself abreast of the latest prevention tips to halt the spread of this disease”, he stated.
