NCRPO Hauls Shabu Worth 3.4 Million from Three Drug Suspects

Joint anti-drug efforts of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU), NCRPO along with the elements of Manila Police District, Station Drug Enforcement Unit 9 and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, NCR successfully conducted an anti-illegal drugs buy-bust operation at about 1:45 A.M. of August 7, 2019 at the parking area of Harbor Square, across Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex (CCPP), resulting in the arrest of three drug personalities.

The operatives positively identified the suspects as Graciano Rombo y Estranias, @ Ciano, 34 yrs old and resident of Brgy Tres Cruses, Tanza, Cavite; Roderick Pisig y Diic, 35 years old, and a resident of JP Rizal St., Upper Bicutan, Taguig City; and Alican Pagayaw y Goling, 31 years old and a resident of No. 29 Maharlika St., Taguig City.

The arrest was made through the buy-bust operation conducted wherein a RDEU, NCRPO operative acted as a poseur buyer. The suspects received the marked money from the under cover agent of RDEU NCRO in exchange of 200 grams of plastic ice pack (knot tied) containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu amounting to Php 250,000.00, on board their vehicle.

Upon consummation of the illegal drug transaction, the poseur buyer gave the pre-arranged signal wherefore the team immediately arrested the suspects and recovered from their possession another 300 grams of plastic ice pack (knot tied) containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.

During the anti drug sting, operatives seized a total of 5 pcs. transparent plastic ice pack (knot tied) containing 100 grams of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu for each plastic, weighing a total of 500 grams (1/2 kilo) with street value of Php 3,400,000.00; boodle marked money amounting to Php 250,000.00 used in the transaction; 2 units of cellular phones, and; 1 SUV Toyota Fortuner with Plt NAC -9054 .

Said transaction is supposedly in one of the condominiums in Paranaque City but since it was too close to Camp Bagong Diwa, the suspects changed their plans and venue.

Investigation revealed that the origin of the illegal drugs was from an undisclosed place of Cavite province. Furthermore, the arrested suspects are operating in the Southern part of Metro Manila. Their modus operandi is to deliver illegal drugs to the pushers who are mostly, tenants of different condominiums in Metro Manila. Condominuims are used as their safehouses/hide outs to protect and avoid any detection of their illegal activities due to a thighten security measures.

The seized pieces of evidence were immediately brought to the PNP Crime Laboratory Office for qualitative examination.

Criminal complaint for violation of Section 5, 11 and 26 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for filing in court against the suspects.

PMGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR recalled that there were successful anti illegal drug operations conducted before at the different condominiums in Metro Manila. “With the cooperation of the Condominium Managements, nakakapagsagawa tayo ng mga buy bust operation that resulted in the arrest of drug personalities”.

He added, “Itong tatlong ito ay ginagamit na mga courier na nagbabagsak ng iligal na droga dito. With their arrest, meron tayong mga information na nakuha para magsagawa ng ating mga case bulid-up and eventually, we are hoping na magreresulta ito sa iba pang operations against other members of the group.”
