MANILA’S FINEST SEIZES SHABU WORTH 3.4M AND ARRESTS 5 DRUG SUSPECTS

The Station Drug Enforcement Team of Ermita Police Station in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, NCR succesfully conducted an anti-illegal drugs buy-bust operation at about 11:00 PM of February 14, 2020 inside Jollibee T.M. Kalaw parking lot located along Maria Orosa Street, Ermita Manila resulting in the arrest of five (5) drugs suspects .

With this, NCRPO, Regional Director, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS visits Manila Police Distict today, February 15, 2020, to congratulate the Ermita personnel headed by PLTCOK ARIEL CARAMOAN regarding the
confiscation of suspected shabu weighing more or less 500 grams with a street value of Php 3,400,000.00.

The NCRPO Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS positively identified the suspects as; Fahad Masla Pasandalan @Muklo, Male, 26 years old, married, jobless and a resident of A. Roldan St., New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City; Benjee Jabil Abas, male, 20 years old, married, jobless and a resident of Dalikan, Maguindanao; Kanuto Usop Nasa, male, 55 years old, married, jobless and a resident of Barangay Kabuntalan, Dinaig, Maguindanao; Datu Ali Baking Nasa, Male, 29 years old, married, jobless and a resident of Barangay Kabuntalan, Dinaig, Maguindanao; and RohaneLampak Guiamed, Female, 26 years old, married, jobless and a resident of Malagapas, Cotabato City.

Investigation revealed that during the buy-bust operation , an SDET operative acted as a poseur buyer and managed to avail four (4) pieces heat sealed transparent plastic pack containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, thus, the team immediately affected the arrest.

Upon apprehension, operatives yielded a total of ten (10) pieces heat sealed transparent plastic bags containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu; one (1) piece of marked Php1000.00 peso bill topped on three hundred ninety-nine (399) pieces of boodle money placed inside a window envelope ; two (2) unit of cellular phone; one (1) piece black colored sling bag; one (1) piece orange eco-bag; and one (1) unit blue colored Toyota Vios Sedan bearing plate number NYQ 756.

A total of 500 grams of shabu with the total street value of 3.4 Million pesos was seized during the said buy bust operation.

Arrested suspects are now under the custody of Ermita Police Station while seized pieces of evidence were immediately brought to the MPD Crime Laboratory Office for qualitative and quantitative examination.

Criminal complaints for violation of Section 5 (Selling of Dangerous Drug), Section 11 (Illegal Possession of Dangerous Drug) and Section 26b in relation to Section 5 (Conspiracy) under Article Il of RA 9165 (Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) will be referred for inquest proceedings at Manila City Prosecutor’s Office against the suspects.

PMGEN SINAS personally lauded the operatives during his visit to Ermita Police Station. “Let us not rest on our accomplishments. Continue the drive on war on drugs. Every accomplishment counts our campaign against illegal drugs.

He also appealed to the public, “The public can help us in the campaign to stop the proliferation of drugs and arrest drug suspects.
