Amid controversies which have put the Philippine National Police in the limelight, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Chief PMGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR urged all police officers in the region to remain focused on fulfilling their mandate.
“I would like to remind each and every one that we should not be distracted from this. This should not affect our campaign against criminality and illegal drugs because we have a lot of work to do,” NCRPO Chief underscored in an interview.
“The allegations against the PNP should not affect our campaign against criminality and illegal drugs and we should continue our job and show to criminal elements that we remain focused on our job of relentlessly running after them to give them no chance at all,” he added.
PMGEN ELEAZAR further explained that this current dilemma is the very reason why he is doing perpetual meeting and visitation with as many NCRPO personnel as possible to boost their morale and continue their law enforcement duties for instance, his recent visitation at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) on Friday to assess the wellbeing of the NCRPO personnel acting as temporary augmentation who are basically tasked to replace Bureau of Corrections personnel who will undergo retraining and evaluation, as requested by the newly-appointed BuCor Director GENERAL GERALD BANTAG as he implements holistic and sustained reforms at the NBP.
