Regional Mobile Force Battalion rescued a baby owl while deployed to help and rescue the victims of Taal volcano eruption. The baby owl was found at about 10:30 am of January 22, 2020 by PLT MARK ANGELO R BUCAD of RMFB while he was conducting mobile patrol monitoring together with his men along Tanauan, Talisay Road in Batangas City to verify the areas affected by the Taal volcano eruption.

PLT BUCAD’s team spotted the injured baby owl in a near death situation and without hesitation, rescued it and immediately instituted first aid to alleviate its poor condition.

The baby owl was immediately taken to team NCRPO’s Advance Command Post in Sto. Tomas Batangas where it was given a plateful of fish and water. Afterwards, they made a temporary shelter for it to rest before it was turned over to proper authorities.

“We will continue our effort to help our fellows who have fallen victims to Taal Volcano eruption. With that statement, I mean both humans and animals who were severely affected by this catastrophe.

The rescued baby owl was named ‘Tala’ and now serves as a representation of all the animals affected by Taal Volcano eruption.
