NCRPO Seizes 400k Shabu in Taguig buy-bust ops

About 50grams of suspected shabu with street value of Php 400,000.00 was seized by the combined forces of Regional Drug Enforcement Unit of National Capital Region Police Office, Taguig City Police Station and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency NCR from a drug suspect in a buy bust operation conducted at about 4:45pm of July 6, 2019 along C6 Road near Lakeshore, Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.

Anti- illegal drug operatives identified the suspect as Jamel Pontino y Panantaon, alias “Jamel”, 24-year old, Muslim, married, jobless, native of Marawi City and presently residing at Brgy. Lomidong Islamic City of Marawi, Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao.

Based on plans, undercover agent managed to purchase from the suspect one (1) piece of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu” weighing more or less 25grams with street value of Php 200,000.00 in exchange of one (1) piece genuine 1000-peso bill incorporated with 49 pieces of boodle marked money equivalent to Php 50,000.

Upon checking of the suspect’s car, operatives recovered inside his Toyota Revo color brown with plate number XEZ 842 another one (1) piece of Heat Sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu” weighing more or less 25grams with street value of Php 200,000.00.

Criminal complaint of violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 are being prepared for filing in court against the said suspect.

The arrested suspect and the seized pieces of evidence will be brought to the PNP Crime Laboratory Office for drug test and laboratory examination.

Meanwhile NCRPO Director PMGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR lauded the operating teams for another notable accomplishment on NCRPO’s illegal drugs campaign.

PMGEN ELEAZAR reiterated his appeal to the public to continuously support the NCRPO in its goal to eradicate illegal drugs.
