In the midst of the technological advancement being undertaken by the society, the Philippine National Police ensured that its personnel will be able to grasp the changes by initiating a training course on drone parade/ exhibitions which started yesterday, 20th day of July 2020. PMGEN AMADOR V CORPUZ, the Director of Human Resource and Doctrine Development Division, PNP graced the Opening Ceremony and uplifted the morale of the trainees through his Inspirational Message at NCRPO Grandstand Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.
Towards this end, NCRPO under the leadership of its Regional Director, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS supports this endeavour and ensured that Metro Cops will benefit from the training. Furthermore, the NCRPO provided a venue for the training where all drones can assemble and regroup when necessary.
The training aims to equip police officers with the required knowledge to be able to control drones at prescise formations during Command Activities and Police Operations.
Trainees are expected to showcase their acquired skills especially during PNP’s Capability Demonstration as one of the capabilities and resources of the Police Regional Office.
Drone handling is also very useful in tactical surveillance, crowd monitoring and disaster response. It is beneficial to operations in getting advance information on the terrain prior to the deployment of police forces.
PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS emphasized that the utilization of the said technical innovation will not only be used during drills and ceremonies but at the same time, it will serve as an additional strength to NCRPO’s operational force.
