The Quad-Intel Force of the National Capital Region will be providing the Bureau of Corrections with the names of its personnel who are involved in the operations of convicted drug lords inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
At the same time, the names of the inmates on drug list will also be given to BuCor Director General Gerald Bantag in order for him to craft security measures to hinder them to continuously supervise the operations of their respective syndicates despite being detained at the Bilibid.
National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Chief, PMGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR said that the names of the BuCor personnel and the NBP inmates are based on the information and intelligence reports that the four members of the Quad-Intel Force posses.
The Quad-Intel Force is composed of the NCRPO, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-NCR, National Bureau of Investigation-NCR and the Joint Task Force-NCR of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The BuCor, under DG Bantag, is currently conducting massive vetting process of all the prisons guards and personnel of the NBP over allegations of massive corruption that resulted in the continuous operations of convicted drug lords.
Last week, the NCRPO sent a total of 551 augmentation force to the NBP to help secure the detention facility as DG Bantag stripped all the prison guards of duty due to corruption issues.
PMGEN ELEAZAR explained that providing the names of the BuCor personnel and NBP inmates is the Quad-Intel Force’s contribution to the vetting process initiated by DG Bantag.
NCRPO Chief, however, did not elaborate as to how many BuCor personnel and inmates are on the list that they are going to submit to DG Bantag because of the confidentiality of the information.
