Philippine National Police Officer-In-Charge PLTGEN ARCHIE FRANCISCO GAMBOA on Tuesday inspected preparations in bus terminals and other vital installations to ensure security, a day before the nation’s observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ days. PLTGEN GAMBOA, together with National Capital Region Police Office Director, PBGEN DEBOLD SINAS and other PNP key officials, inspected the Araneta Center Bus Terminal to check on security measures being implemented. For his part, NCRPO Chief said that the key element in this security operation is police visibility, considering both its crime deterent and reassuring effects on the public. ‘‘We are on full alert status starting 6:00 A.M. (Tuesday) . Our personnel will be deployed in areas where the people are expected to convege,’’ PBGEN SINAS said. ‘‘The deployment of NCRPO personnel will serve as augmentation in the conduct of preventive patrol operations, ant-criminality and anti-drug camoaigns, ’’ he added. Meanwhile, police assistance desks (PADs) were set up to guide commuters and prevent criminals from taking advantage of the crowd, the NCRPO Chief said.
