The National Capital Region Police Office, Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS applauds Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) OF PS – 1 La Loma, Quezon City Police District in coordination with Station Drug Enforcement Unit, Manila Police District for a successful buy-bust operation which resulted in the apprehension of one (1) female suspect in front of Ministop Convenient Store Tutuban Mall, Recto Avenue, Barangay 247, Manila City at around 8:45 PM of October 14, 2020.
The arrest ensued after an information provided by a confidential informant regarding the illegal drug activities of the suspect was validated. Subsequently, one of the police personnel acted as a poseur buyer and set-up a transaction with the suspect.
The police personnel was able to meet the subject person and purchased one (1) piece knot-tied transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu in exchange of buy-bust money.
After the transaction, the operatives of PS – 1 La Loma and Manila Police District pushed-through with the pre-arrange buy-bust operation which resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
Initial report showed that the arrested suspect was identified as RAKILAH ABDULRAHMAN y RANGAIG a.k.a. KYLA, female, 22 years old, married, vendor, native of Marawi City and residing at No. 241 1st Street, Tagumpay San Ramon, Dinalupihan, Bataan.
Seized from the suspect are the following pieces of evidence:
a) One (1) piece Five hundred peso paper bill with serial number HD345760;
b) Fifteen (15) pieces one thousand peso boodle money with serial number PU360134;
c) Four (4) pieces knot-tied transparent plastic sachet containing undetermined quantity of white crystalline substance suspected to be Shabu;
d) One (1) piece color white sando plastic bag; and
e) One (1) piece small cellphone box.
The items were duly marked and inventoried with the presence of Barangay Representative Chairman Shaun Henri L. Dy from Barangay 247, Manila City and Media Representative Mr. Alex Mendoza from HATAW/QCPD Press Corp.
The confiscated illegal drugs has an aggregate estimated weight of more or less 260 grams with estimated standard value amounting to PHP 1,768,000.00.
The arrested suspect and recovered pieces of evidence were brought to La Loma Police Station for proper documentation and investigation and pending the filing of appropriate charges to the court for violation of Sec. 5 (Delivery and Selling of Dangerous Drugs) and Sec. 11 (Possession of dangerous Drugs) Article II of R.A. 9165 “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
