The National Capital Region Police Office recorded the arrest of one (1) male person, at about 3:45 PM of April 14, 2020 at Quarantine Control Point at Eastbank Road, Brgy Sta Lucia Pasig City for violating the Pasig City Ordinance series of 2020.
PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS identiified the suspect as Raymond Teodesio Tonga, 18 years old, resident of #296 Callejan 2, Sta Cruz, Pasig city.
Initial investigation disclosed that while one police officer was conducting quarantine check to all people at QCP in relation to Enhanced Community Quarantine, the suspect onboard a blue motorcycle Mio 125 used for Grab Food was intercepted carrying 24 bottles of intoxicated liquors (Emperador light) in violation of Pasig City Ordinance Nr. 08 Series of 2020.
Subject Person was issued with Ordinance Violation Receipt Nr. PG-0841184 for violation of Section 4 of Pasig City Ordinance and Failure to comply DOTr MC and DILG Memorandum on Enhanced Community Quarantine.
Meanwhile 24 bottles of intoxicated liquor were confiscated and turned over to PCP6.
PMGEN SINAS reminded the public regarding the liquor ban being implemented alongside the ECQ. “This is a warning to the public regarding the strict implementation of liquor ban in different cities. Police officers are keen and ready to arrest violators when necessary,” he said.
