QCPD Drug Sting Nabs 1 Drug Suspect; Yields Almost 61.2 Million Worth of Shabu

Joint elements Masambong Police Station 2, District Intelligence Division of Quezon City Police District, Regional Special Operations Group, RID, NCRPO and Philippine Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit successfully conducted an anti-illegal drugs buy-bust operation at about 4:20 PM March 11, 2020 Mc Donalds Quezon Ave corner West 4th Brgy West Triangle Quezon City resulting in the arrest of one (1) drug suspect.

The operation was hatched through casing and surveillance against the suspect resulting into positive validation. Suspect was identified as Mark Anthony Gregorio Carlos, resident of 191 New Sta Rita Bata San Miguel Bulacan.

Initial investigation disclosed that an operative acted as poseur buyer and was able to transact with Carlos. Upon receiving the boodle money worth one (1) million pesos, operatives immediately effected the arrest.

Seized items from the suspect were a total of 15 packs of suspected shabu more or less nine (9) kilograms of suspected “SHABU” with DDB value worth Php61,200,000.00 and boodle money worth Php1,000,000.00.

The arrested suspect and recovered pieces of evidence will be subjected for technical examination before the PNP Crime Laboratory Office.

Complaints for violation of Section 5 and 11 of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for filling in court against the suspect.

The National Capital Region Police Office Regional Director PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauded the police personnel responsible for the apprehension of the suspect and confiscation of the shabu. “Our reinvigorated effort towards the attainment of a drug free community is working. I am grateful that our men work tirelessly for this campaign against illegal drugs.”
