RSOU-NCRPO served a warrant of arrest against a member of robbery extortion loan assumed Tangay Benta modus syndicate

RSOU-NCRPO SERVED A WARRANT OF ARREST AGAINST A MEMBER OF ROBBERY EXTORTION LOAN ASSUMED TANGAY BENTA MODUS SYNDICATE

The Regional Special Operations Unit (RSOU), NCRPO under the leadership of PMGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR, Regional Director, NCRPO implemented a Warrant of Arrest against an accused for carnapping at about 5:00 pm of March 26, 2019 at RSOU, NCRPO Detention Facility.

The accused was identified as Luisel Marie Estaris y Hiponi, female, 30 years old, married, native of San Jose, Antique, and residing at Villa Poleng, Malabañas, Angeles City, Pampanga who is presently detained at RSOU, NCRPO Detention Facility.

The Warrant of Arrest with no bail recommended was issued by HON. ELIZABETH L BERDAL, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 47, First Judicial Region, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan for violation of R.A. 10883 (New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016) dated March 19, 2019.

The operation stemmed from the coordination made by Provincial Highway Patrol Team, Lingayen, Pangasinan to the RSOU, NCRPO.

Investigation disclosed that the victim of the accused was one Gary Villaflor, a former OFW and a resident of Urdaneta City, Pangasinan. On May 2018, Villaflor posted on the accused Facebook page, Assume Balance, Pasalo Cars Philippine and Assume Balance, Pasalo Cars Pilipinas that his vehicle was for rent. Villaflor and the accused had transaction and agreed upon to meet in a Mall in Clark, Pampanga. Estaris paid the agreed amount however, she failed to return the said vehicle on the scheduled date. Villaflor decided to report the incident to the authorities and exerted effort to locate the accused and his vehicle but remained futile. Villaflor filed criminal charge against the accused.

Case records revealed that Estaris is a member of Loan, Assumed, Tangay, Benta Modus Syndicate and was arrested by the RSOU operatives for committing robbery extortion (Loan, Assumed, Tangay, Benta Modus). During the press briefing, five (5) other complainants with similar case reported to RSOU office on January 31, 2019.

The suspect remained in the custody of RSOU pending further order from the court of origin.

“The PNP will continue to investigate the case to trace the carnapped vehicles and until all the members of this syndicate will be put behind bars. Malaking pera ang natangay sa mga biktima na pinaghirapan at pinagpaguran ng ating mga kababayan. Hindi tayo papayag na hindi nila pag bayaran ang nagawa nilang kasalanan”, PMGEN ELEAZAR said.
