With the Northern Police District’s constant effort to combat illegal drugs, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the District Drug Enforcement Unit and District Special Operations Unit for another successful buybust operation on August 8, 2020 at 9:30 PM in Navotas City.
Suspects were identified as Jessie Villazur y Omelan, 36 y/o, single, jobless, residing at J.A. Roldan St., Brgy. San Roque, Navotas City; and Percival Dela Cruz y Silala, 39 y/o, single, jobless, residing at No. 17, M. Cabre St., Brgy. San Roque, Navotas City.
The operation stemmed from a series of surveillance, casing and monitoring of the whereabouts and scheme of the suspects until a buy bust operation was plotted.
Investigation disclosed that a poseur buyer was able to transact with the suspects. After the transaction, operatives effected the arrest of Villazur and Dela Cruz.
Pieces of evidence seized from their possession and control were:
a. Two (2) pcs. knot tied plastic bag containing suspected Shabu;
b. Two (2) pcs. small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected Shabu;
c. One (1) pc. genuine P1,000.00 with serial No. WT262740 incorporated with four (4) pcs. P1,000.00 boodle money utilized as buy-bust money;
d. Two (2) Units Cellular phone Samsung and Huawei; and
e. One (1) unit Digital weighing scale.
Estimated total weight of confiscated Shabu were more or less 104 grams with Standard Drug Price amounting to P707,200.00.
The seized pieces of evidence was photographed, marked and inventoried in the presence of mandatory witnesses in the person of Mr. Ismael “Ka Maeng” Santos, Bulgar Tabloid and Brgy. Kagawad Winifredo Esquillo Jr.of Brgy. San Roque, Navotas City.
Suspects were brought at DDEU-NPD office for documentation pending the filing of appropriate charges for Violation of Sec. 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs); Sec. 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Sec. 26 (Conspiracy), under Article ll of R.A. 9165 through Buy-bust Operation while the recovered pieces of evidence will be turned over to NPD Crime laboratory for examination.
