Suspect Nailed, 50g Of Illegal Marijuana Seized In QC

The National Capital Region Police Office, Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS applauds the operatives of PS-5 Fairview, Quezon City Police District for a successful buy-bust operation along Mindanao avenue  Extension Brgy. Greater Lagro, Quezon City in front of KIA Motors at around 9:00 PM of August 4, 2020.

The operation stemmed through an Intelligence given by the Regional Intelligence Division – NCR about the illegal drug activities of the suspect which prompted the buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest.

Initial report showed that the suspect was identified as Nicko Formento y Telimban, 20 y/o (Newly identified Drug Personality).

Seized from the suspect are the following pieces of evidence:

a) Four (4) pieces small transparent plastic zip lock containing dried fruity leaves suspected dried MARIJUANA leaves;

b) One (1) piece small bag color black;

c) Three (3) pieces of One hundred peso bill amounting to three (3) hundred pesos (buy-bust money);

d) Two (2) pieces of one hundred peso bill (recovered drug money);

e) One (1) unit of ASUS cellular phone color black.

The items were duly marked and inventoried in the presence of Elected Brgy. Official, Kagawad Vladimir Torres of Brgy Greater Lagro, QC and Mr Leody E Tobias Media Representative from Radyo ng Masa.

The confiscated illegal drugs has an estimated aggregate weight of more or less 50 grams with estimated DDB Value of PHP 6,000. It was turned-over to QCPD Crime Lab for chemical analysis.

The above-mentioned suspect is in the custody of Fairview Police Station for proper disposition pending the filing appropriate charges in court for the violation Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 under Article II of R.A. 9165 otherwise known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Acts of 2002”.

“I commend the immediate response made by the Fairview Police Station to apprehend the suspect after receiving the Intel about his illegal drug activities. With proper coordination and guidance I know we will succeed in eliminating all forms of criminality here in Metro,” said PMGEN SINAS.
