Termination Of 3 Days Lockdown Of QCPD Headquarters

The NCRPO Regional Director, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS presided the Termination of QCPD Camp Lockdown on today, 7:30AM of May 12, 2020 at the QCPD Grandstand, Camp Tomas B Karingal, Sikatuna Village, Quezon City.

The Quezon City Police District in Camp Karingal, Quezon City was placed under a 3-day lockdown from May 9-12 following the initial result of the targeted group testing conducted last April 25-29, 2020 wherein 14 personnel yielded positive results.

According to the evaluation and analysis of PLTCOL BEVERLY DE GUZMAN, Chief Medical Dispensary Section, Regional Health Service conducted during the lockdown, there was a form of complacency and familiarity among co-workers in the offices of Camp Karingal. Although the level of awareness is high, police officers are more conscious while dealing with strangers than with their superiors and co-workers. There are also instances where personnel share commom areas such as pantry, water dispenser, and comfort rooms.

PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS  during the dialogue with the men and women of QCPD reiterated the recommendations given by Regional Health Service. He ordered the regular disinfection of all offices and common areas, strict implementation of social distancing, proper food handling practices, sufficient supply of alcohol and constant wearing of masks inside and outside of offices. He also ordered the appointment of Safety and Security who will remind the personnel every now to adhere to the guidelines.

PMGEN SINAS conveyed his gratitude to the City Mayor and local government of Quezon City for the assistance given to the police personnel. He also thanked the QCPD personnel for their cooperation during the lockdown. ” I am glad that none of you violated the rules and regulations during the lockdown. I am hoping that you have now doubled and even trippled your awareness on the guidelines given by the DOH,” he said.

“May the other results that we are waiting turn out negative and may the good Lord protect not only the QCPD but the NCRPO as a whole,” said PMGEN SINAS.
