National Capital Region Police Office Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, applauded the joint personnel of the National Capital Region Police Office, Batan Municipal Police Station and CIDG for the apprehension of an accused for rape and tagged as the Top 1 Most Wanted Person of Batan Police Station on August 11, 2020 at about 7:30PM in Sampaloc, Manila.

The accused was identified as Rady Ellas y Idao also known as Rudy Idao y Inocencio, male, 53 years old, married, helper, native of Batan, Aklan and presently residing at #1600, Interior Fajardo, Sampaloc Manila.

According to initial report, the arrest was organized after confirmation of the intelligence report on the whereabouts of the suspect. Thus, on the said date and time the accused was apprehended by joint operatives of Warrant Section Personnel of Novaliches Police Station-QCPD, Sampaloc Police Station-MPD; Batan Municipal Police Station- Aklan Provincial Police Station and CIDG-Bulacan.

The above-mentioned accused was arrested by virtue of Alias Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of RAPE issued by HON Bienvenido P Barrios Jr, Presiding Judge of RTC, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 3, Kalibo, Aklan under CC No. 10649-10655 dated July 22, 2013 with no bail recommended.

Further investigation disclosed that Ellas allegedly raped and threatened her daughter on August 2010, from thereon he went into hiding. The accused is now in the custody of Novaliches City Police Station, QCPD and will be turned over to the Court of Origin for proper disposition.

PMGEN SINAS praised the coordination and cooperation of the police units for not only keeping the peace and order in the community but also their desire to bring justice to the family and victims of crime.

“The successful apprehension of the accused here in Metro Manila is an indication that your police force is in close coordination with other law enforcement agencies nationwide. This may also serve as warning to all law breakers that you cannot hide forever, the long arm of the law will find you,” PMGEN SINAS emphasized.
