In line with the intensified Campaign of the Philippine National Police (PNP) against Wanted Persons, the National Capital Region Police Office Chief, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS lauds the close coordination and joint operation of Inteligence Operations-District Intelligence Division, Caloocan City Police of Northern Police District and Baguio City Police Office that led to the successful arrest of the Top 5 Most Wanted Person of Baguio City Police Station 10 on August 26, 2020 at about 2:20PM at Block 41 Plot 16 Phase 1, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.
Accused was identified as Dolores Songcuan y Dar, 47 years old, jobless, native of South Cotabato and a resident of Block 41 Plot 16 Phase 1, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.
Investigation disclosed that through intensified manhunt, monitoring and confirmation of the facts and circumstances, personnel of the Intelligence Operations Section of DID together with personnel of Baguio City Police Station 10 arrested the suspect by virtue of Warrant of Arrest with CC No 291-20- CT- MTCC for the case of Estafa under Art 315 of the Revised Penal Code issued by Presiding Judge Leody M Opolinto, Baguio City MTCC Judicial Region, Third Branch, Baguio City dated June 4, 2020 with a bail of PHP100, 000.00.
During the arrest, accused was informed of the nature of her arrest and was appraised of her constitutional rights. The accused was brought to a Hospital for medical examination and subsequently transported to DID, Northern Police District Office for documentation. Accused was afterwards turned over to Baguio CPS-10 for proper disposition prior to the return of Warrant of Arrest to the court of origin.
The continuous apprehension of lawless elements through the service of warrants of arrest is an indication that the Philippine National Police is sincere in its campaign against Most Wanted Persons. “The arrest of Most Wanted Persons from other Police Regional Offices here at the NCRPO and vice versa proves the solidarity of the police force in executing their duties to bring justice to the victims of crime and their families as well.” PMGEN SINAS stated.
