PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, Chief, NCRPO commends the operatives of Muntinlupa City Police Station and 1st Mobile Force Company – RMFB (Regional Mobile Force Battalion) for the apprehension of Two (2) persons for Violation of R.A. 11332, Violation of City Ordinance (Curfew), Violation of R.A. 4136 and Violation of R.A. 9165 along Phase 1 Southville 3, NHA Brgy. Poblacion, Muntinlupa City at around 11:30 PM of August 15, 2020.
Initial report showed that the arrested suspects were identified as:
a) ARDAN GONZALES y ORDIZ @ DAN, 40 years old, male, single, jobless, and a resident of Phase 1, Block 42, Lot 20, Southville 3, Brgy. Poblacion, Muntinlupa City; and
b) JOMAR DEDORO y MALIBIRAN @ MULTO, 33 years old, male, single, tricycle driver, and a resident of Phase 1, Block 3, Lot 33, Southville 3, Brgy. Poblacion, Muntinlupa City.
The arrest stemmed after the operatives of 1st MFC – RMFB conducted a curfew operation in relation to Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ). The arrested suspects were caught violating the curfew hours. As part of arresting protocols, the operatives frisked the arrested violators and confiscated suspected shabu.
Seized from the above-mentioned suspects are the following pieces of evidence:
a) Two (2) pieces heat sealed transparent plastic containing white crystalline substance suspected to be SHABU;
b) Two (2) pieces aluminum foil strip;
c) One (1) piece Marlboro cigarette;
d) One (1) unit Moto cellular phone color black; and
e) One (1) unit Kawasaki Barako 175 motorcycle color black bearing plate number UZ 8460 with sidecar.
The items were duly marked and inventoried in the presence of Brgy. Kagawad Neptali Argana of Brgy. Poblacion, Muntinlupa City and Media Representative Mr. Ding Bermudez.
The confiscated illegal drugs has an aggregate estimated weight of more or less 1.5 grams with DDB value amounting to PHP 9,200.00.
The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were turned-over to Muntinlupa City Police Station for proper documentation and pending the filing appropriate charges for Violation of R.A. 11332 or “Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act”, Violation of City Ordinance No. 2020 – 113 (Curfew), Violation of R.A. 4136 or “Land Transportation and Traffic Code” and Violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 of R.A. 9165 or “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002”.
“Since Metro Manila was reverted back to MECQ, TEAM NCRPO has tightened the implementation of quarantine guidelines in every city. At the same time it gave us the advantage to better monitor the activities of drug peddlers and their cohorts in order to arrest them,” said PMGEN SINAS.
