Two Minors And Two Others Arrested For Selling More Than 2 Kilos Of Marijuana

As the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) strengthens its campaign against illegal drugs, the NCRPO Regional Director, PMGEN DEBOLD M SINAS commended the recent accomplishment of the operatives from District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), and District Special Operation Unit (DSOU) of Northern Police District for arresting four (4) drug couriers including two (2) minors and confiscation of 2.25 kilograms of dried Marijuana leaves with fruiting tops with estimated Drug Dangerous Board value of P270,000.00 on August 24, 2020 at Manuel L. Quezon St., Purok 2, Brgy. New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.

Arrested suspects were identified as: (1) Erwin Villaflor y Bordaje, 26 y/o, (2) Martin Paglinawan y Rabasto, 18 y/o, (3) CICL a.k.a  EJ, 15 y/o, (4) CICL a.k.a MIA, 16 y/0, all single, jobless, and neighbors, currently residing in Brgy. New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.

Investigation disclosed that at about 2:00PM August 24, 2020, through intelligence driven operation based on the information provided by a Regular Confidential Informant (RCI) of the DDEU and DSOU, NPD, the suspects together with the police operatives of Taguig City Police Station who posed as posuer buyer agreed to meet-up at Monumento in Caloocan City to buy dried Marijuana from the suspect alias EJ.  However, after several hours of waiting, the suspect advised the Poseur Buyer to proceed at Lower Bicutan, Taguig instead of Monumento. Both parties agreed and closed the deal.

Meanwhile, having all the information of the transaction, the personnel of DDEU and DSOU NPD in coordination with Taguig City Police Station immediately prepared and conducted a Buy-bust operation against the suspects.

After the drug transaction was consummated, the police operatives immediately arrested the suspects and confiscated approximately 2.25 kilograms of marijuana with standard drug price amounting to P270,000.00.

Details of recovered pieces evidence were: two (2) pcs. cone shape suspected dried Marijuana leaves and fruiting tops wrapped with packaging tape; one (1) pc. color green round shape plastic containing suspected dried Marijuana leaves and fruiting tops; One (1) pc. color red eco bag; one (1) pc. genuine P1,000.00 bill incorporated with twenty-five (25) pcs. 

P1, 000.00 boodle money used as buy-bust money; and one (1) unit color gold tablet.

Suspects were brought to NPD DDEU office for proper disposition and later turned-over to Taguig City Police Station Custodial Facility pending the filing of appropriate charges in relation to Violation of Sec. 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Sec 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Sec 26 under Art ll of RA 9165 while the seized pieces of evidence were submitted to SPD Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.

The arrest and inventory of recovered pieces of evidence were witnessed by Mr Alex Mendoza, Hataw Tabloid – Media Representative; and Brgy. Kgwad NicksonTaguirigan of Brgy. New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.

PMGEN SINAS reiterated the commitment of Team-NCRPO to get rid of the illegal drugs traders and pushers. “Hindi po titigil ang Team-NCRPO at ang mga may malasakit nating mga kababayan sa pagmanman sa sinumang guwagawa ng kalokohan at sa mga nagbebenta ng iligal na droga. Hindi namin kayo tatantanan hanggat di kayo titigil at managot sa batas,” he added.
